Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a highly effective skincare ingredient with a wide range of benefits: it helps improve the skin’s barrier function, reduce redness, minimize the appearance of pores, regulate sebum production, and reduce hyperpigmentation. However, although this multifunctional ingredient performs several roles, it should not be the only product used in a skincare routine. The skin needs more than one beneficial ingredient.
For better results, this versatile ingredient can be combined with products containing vitamin C, AHA or BHA acids, hyaluronic acid, peptides, retinol, and antioxidants. It is also possible to use several products with vitamin B in the same routine, as it is very well tolerated even by sensitive skin (including those with rosacea-prone skin). A multifunctional face wash with azelaic acid, a serum with 10% niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, a 4-acid night peel for blemish-prone skin, or an intensively hydrating niacinamide cream with azelaic acid — choose one or several products to include in a skincare routine. Niacinamide is very gentle and rarely causes adverse reactions, making it suitable for daily and long-term use.
